🔥 Wings Worth the Mess: Where to Get the Best in FoCo

Craving crispy, saucy, finger-lickin’ wings? You’re not alone. When someone asked where to score the best wings in Fort Collins (especially a little hotter than buffalo), the locals had a lot to say.

Here are the top picks—ranked not by algorithm, but by passion (and possibly wing sauce):

🍗 Jim’s Wings The OG. Beloved by generations, debated by wing philosophers. Small, spicy, nostalgic.

🔥 Mo Jeaux’s Smoked then flash-fried. A smoky flavor bomb that wins over newcomers and regulars alike.

💥 Wing Shack – Massive wings, tons of sauces, and a devoted fan base. Some say they’re Jim’s… but evolved.

🎯 Colorado Room – Not a wing joint, but they sneak up with surprisingly solid wings (try the curry!).

🐓 DC Oakes & Smok BBQ – Big, bold, and full of heat. For those chasing that next level flavor.

 Wildcards:

Krazy Karl’s lemon pepper, Tap and Handle’s custom combos, and Tecate’s spicy birria burritos if wings just aren’t winging it.

If you’ve got a favorite flavor, sauce combo, or secret hot spot we missed—hit reply and share it! 🍽️

Answer: C. The remains of the old town of Stout—you nailed it!

The town of Stout was once a bustling quarry camp back in the 1860s. But during the Colorado-Big Thompson Project in the 1940s, it was evacuated and flooded to create what we now know as Horsetooth Reservoir. Today, only a few stone foundations remain deep beneath the water’s surface—so next time you’re out paddleboarding, just remember… you’re floating above FoCo history. 🏞️
